FRITZ HAUSER – KLANGWERKER

A journey into the musical world of Fritz Hauser.
We see the drummer, performer, composer and sound researcher in the creative process of three projects:
Solo, with the director Barbara Frey, with a well-coordinated team in the radio studio DRS 2 in the development of a musical radio piece and in the further development of this composition, with young dancers from all over the world on the big stage. In touching improvisations with a student, we discover Hauser's experimental and humorous attitude as a musician.

Eyes and ears are sensitised to the unusual sound worlds of improvised music in the first musical encounter with Fred Frith, another master of his craft. The film shows the Swiss musician Fritz Hauser vividly and closely as an unmistakably independent, creative voice of contemporary percussion music.
