STRAUMANN LEGT EINEN ZAHN ZU

"My name is Hans Peter Straumann from Liestal. Abbreviated to "hastli". And that's why I'm always so lively". With these words, globetrotter Straumann introduces himself at the beginning of the film. In the 25 minutes that follow, he lives up to his nickname.

The film "Straumann legt einen Zahn zu" was made at the request of Straumann's children. They wanted to give their father a very special present for his 80th birthday: a film about Hans Peter and his personal museum in Liestal.
The result is an intimate portrait of a man who has travelled half the world and even at an advanced age is brimming with childlike curiosity. Or as Hans Peter himself puts it amidst the thousands of collector's items: "I have already experienced so much, I don't really need to experience anything anymore. But if I do experience something, why not?
